Brief Description: Jabez H. Henley (1810-1888) was a Friend who was born in Randolph County, North Carolina, but lived most of his life in Spiceland, Henry County, Indiana. His commonplace book includes poetry and writings copied from other authors, including a poem and letter by Joseph John Gurney. Also included in the collection is an autograph album of his grandson Howard S. Henley (born 1877) of Spiceland. Gift of Robert King Henley, 2005.
