Biography
Arthur Little (1911-1985) was a member of the CPS generation, a convinced Friend, and conscientious objector. He came to Earlham to teach theater and drama in 1947, despite never having finished college himself. At his retirement in 1976, the college awarded him both an honorary B.A. and an honorary doctorate.
Arthur Little was the first person to have the title professor of theater. Until 1968, drama was part of the speech department, and most of his time here he was officially a professor of speech.
