Biography

Allen “Daddy” Hole (1866-1940) graduated from Earlham in 1897. He became professor of geology and director of the Joseph Moore Museum in 1900, serving until his death in 1940. He also served as vice president of the college 1918-1924. A much-loved teacher, his summer expeditions to national parks in the western United States were student favorites.
