Biography
James Arthur Funston (1909-1997) came to Earlham in 1931, just a year out of college, to teach political science. He would remain until he retired in 1974, acquiring graduate degrees from Harvard and Indiana University along the way. After retirement, he served as college archivist. He was Clerk of the Faculty 1965-1967.
