Abstract

The James Thorpe papers contain the research and publications of James Thorpe, an influential Earlham Geology professor. The collection includes Thorpe’s own correspondence, publications, and research, as well as notes from his many trips around the world.  Overall, the James Thorpe papers provide a look into the field of soil science during the middle decades of the twentieth century.
