Clinton and Albert Stanton Diary, 1884-1889
Scope and Contents
The collection includes an account book and diary of Nathaniel Swain (1802-1875); diaries of his daughter Rosella Swain Keelor (1847-1928); diaries and account books of his grandsons Clinton Stanton (1855-1885) and Albert Stanton (1856-1893); and photographs of members of the Swain, Maddux, Miller, Logue, and related families in Indiana and Kansas. Some of the bound volumes had multiple uses: the one containing Nathaniel Swain's diary was also used as an account book by him, by one G.C.
