Scope and Contents
The collection consists of pamphlets, newspaper clippings, magazines, journal articles, handwritten notes, and a few pieces of correspondence. The material was collected by Virginia Sutton during the 1960s when she worked in Indianapolis with the Friends World Committee to foster understanding of the United Nations. The documents in the collection describe efforts to discourage acceptance of the United Nations by groups such as the Christian Anti-Communism Crusade, John Birch Society and the American Council of Christian Churches. The collection is organized in alphabetical order by topics.
