This collection is composed of documents and pictures that are connected with two members of the Dennis family: David Worth Dennis and William C. Dennis. In Series 1 there are glass slides and pictures of Earlham College. There are many letters and correspondence to and from the Dennis family, primarily to D. W. Dennis. The earliest correspondence is dated from 1897. This series is very important if someone is concerned with early Earlham information and pictures, and an example of this is in Box 2, where there are two panoramic pictures (one of the Young Friends Conference in 1921 and the other Earlham College Class and Faculty in 1930) which display  the transformation from Quaker school to national college. The first half of Series 2 is primarily composed of  correspondence and documents that are related to W. C. Dennis and Earlham. These documents show the process of making additions to campus, such as College Ave., and conversations between the people who shaped major sections of the campus, such as Barrett Hall and Stout Meeting House. In the second half of the series there are documents and records of events and clubs on campus from the 1940s until the 1970s.
