Scope and Contents
The Richard Eastman Papers are comprised of Richard Eastman’s personal and professional papers. Topics include Religious Society of Friends, Friends General Conference, and the American Young Friends Conference (1940s-1950s). There are also professional papers (minutes, memorandums, financial budgets, reports, media) that profile different committees of the American Friends Service Committee (1960s and 1970s). The collection also has materials from different Quaker affiliated organizations and Quaker media outlets, which have been sorted into their own boxes. Non-Quaker organizations and publications are also represented in the collection, Rural Life Association for example. The collection includes Richard Eastman’s personal correspondence and papers from his time at Antioch College as both a student and a professor, as well as materials associated with Yellow Springs, Ohio, and other Ohio regions. These papers have been filed into their own boxes.
