The Mary F. Thomas Woman's Christian Temperance Union was one of several local affiliates of the WCTU in Wayne County, Indiana, before 1920. Named in honor of Dr. Mary Frame (Myers) Thomas (1815-1888), one of the first female medical doctors in Indiana and an early advocate of temperance, it was chartered in 1896.
