William S. Wilder (1808-1870) was a farmer born in Vermont who lived in western New York and in Geauga County, Ohio. This collection consists of six letters written to him by his father Abel Wilder (1783-1869), his brother Barnabas Wilder (1816-1895) of Fayette County, Indiana, and his father-in-law Calvin Adams of Verona, New York.
