Biographical or Historical Information

Isaac Bonine (1790-1872) was born in Pennsylvania, the son of Daniel and Mary (Copeland) Bonine, and moved to Blount County, Tennessee as a child. There in 1814 he married Sarah Talbot (1791-1872). In 1815 they moved to Wayne County, Indiana, and in 1843 to Cass County, Michigan. Isaac was an Anti-Slavery Friend and involved with the Underground Railroad in Cass County.
