J. Warren Beck Collection
Scope and Contents
The Beck Collection consists larghely of photographs of four generations of the Beck and related families in Ohio and Indiana from ca. 1860 to 1930, with clippings relating to Warren Beck's novel "The Final Score," published in 1944.

Biographical or Historical Information
Joseph Beck (1840-1915) was a Lutheran minister. He married Elizabeth Ziegler (1848-1932). The earliest photographs in the collections are of his parents, Jacob Beck Jr. (born 1804) and his wife Susan Kerns Beck (1805-1884) and her parents, Nicholas and Mary (Bugh) Ziegler. Also included are children and grandchildren of Joseph and Elizabeth Beck, including J. Warren Beck.
