Biographical or Historical Information
Littleberry Crew, the son of James and Judith (Harris) Crew, was born in Hanover County, Virginia, Dec. 18, 1762. In 1786 he transferred his membership from Cedar Creek Monthly Meeting, Virginia, to Wrightsborough Monthly Meeting in Georgia, but returned to Cedar Creek in 1796. In 1797 he married a fellow member of Cedar Creek Monthly Meeting, Huldah Stanley (1771-1858), the daughter of John and Milly (Stanley) Stanley. They were the parents of eleven children. In 1807 they moved to Columbiana County, Ohio. Littleberry Crew died there Sept. 12, 1840. The records of his death at New Garden Monthly Meeting (Orthodox) shows that he was an elder.
