Israel Steer (1820-1905) was a Conservative Friend and Elder in Ohio Yearly Meeting. David J. Scott (1827-1912) was his brother-in-law. He spent most of his life in Chester County, Pennsylvania, but lived in the 1850s at Colerain, Ohio. Francis Davis (1819-1889) was a Conservative Friend of Stillwater Monthly Meeting, Ohio. David Stanton was an Orthodox Friend. Gilbert S. Cope (1840-1928) was an Orthodox Friend and historian of West Chester, Pa.
