The second is a facsimile of a manuscript, "The Defence of Abel Thomas Accompanied by His Friend James Thomas on a Religious Visit to Friends of New Jersey and New York Governments, Wxamined and Acquitted by the Governor and Council for Their Having Crossed the British Lines without a Pasport Etc in the Year 1778.
