Evans-Kenworthy Collection
Scope and Contents
This collection has two parts. One consists of extracts from scrapbooks of the family of Mary (Evans) Kenworthy (1825-1901), a Friend of Richmond, Ind. pertaining to historical, Quaker, and Earlham topics. Included are photographs of Marcus Mote, portraits of Jesse Kenworthy (1827-1864), and his father-in-law, Thomas Evans (1791-1852), a prominent Friend of Waynesville, Ohio. The second part consists of typescripts of Evans family correspondence, 1821-1894, along with inventory of the original material, now in the Colorado Historical Society. Gift of Richard N. Jones, Greenwich, Connecticut, 1991. All material is photocopied.
