This collection consists of an autobiography, with considerable reminiscence of his childhood in Guilford County, North Carolina; his pioneer life in Indiana; his reflections on religious doctrine; and his interests in antislavery and Spiritualism. Jonathan Taylor Papers
Jonathan Taylor (1763-1831) was a prominent Orthodox Friend of Mt. Pleasant, Ohio, a recorded minister and clerk of Ohio Yearly Meeting at the time of the Hicksite separation. This collection consists of a sketch of Jonathan Taylor and his wife, Ann (Schofield) Taylor (1765-1862), and deeds and legal papers. Probably acquired by Harlow Lindley.
