Thomas Marshall Family Correspondence
Wayne County (Economy, Indiana) Quaker family. Many items are letters from sons in the Union Army in the Civil War. Also a diary of a trip to Colorado in 1905 by Orlando Marshall and 84 letters to Alonzo Marshall and his family, 1857-1922.
Sketches of Early Newport
Daniel Huff (1816-?) was a Wayne Co. Quaker and wagon shop owner in Newport (now Fountain City). Oliver N. Huff (1852-1937), his son, was a doctor. The mss. relate to the history of Newport and anti-slavery activities.

Civil war letters written to Sarah Ratliff (1859-1914): The bulk of the collection consists of letters written her by three of her brothers, two cousins and a friend while in the Union Army.
