On letterhead of First Friends Church, Pasadena. Grace Deborah Williams (1895-1987) later married John C. Winston. She was the daughter of George G., Williams, pastor of the Pasadena Friends Church.

Susan "Sudie" Lowry, Argonia, Kansas, to Louisa Painter, Monrovia, Indiana, als, Aug. 26, 1888, re: family news, religious work in Kansas. Susan A. (Hunt) Lowry (born 1861), wife of Thomas Lowry, was a sister of Louisa (Hunt) Painter (1839-1890). They were daughters of Amos and Hannah (Moon) Hunt.

Elkanah Beard, Winchester, Indiana, to Nathan & Esther Frame, Spring Valley, Ohio, 1st Mo. 10, 1875, aps, re: invitation to attend general meeting in Union City and Winchester Quarterly Meeting. Elkanah Beard (1833-1905) was a well-known Friends minister of Randolph County, Indiana.

M[ary Stroud], Colerain, Belmont County, Ohio, to Sally B. Gove, Elkhorn, Minnesota, 5th Mo. 1, 1859, als: re family, reading, Quaker neighbors. Mary Stroud (1825-1909), daughter of Jacob and Ann Stroud, was a Gurneyite Friend. Sally (Stroud) Gove, wife of Moses B. Gove, was her sister. In 1869 Mary Stroud married Parvin Wright and moved to Richmond, Indiana, where she died.
