Vernon Family Papers

The Vernon Family Papers consist of correspondence, business documents, and genealogical material relating to the family of Richard Vernon (1789-1877) of Stokes County, NC and Jefferson County, IN. The correspondence includes letters from relatives in Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, and North Carolina with comments on farming, slavery, business, and the coming of the Civil War.

Waynesville Friends Home Photograph Collection

Scope and Contents The Waynesville Friends Home Collection consists of approximately 150 photographs and images formerly kept in photograph albums in the Friends Home in Waynesville, Ohio. About two-thirds of the photographs are identified. The Friends Home in Waynesville opened in 1905 as a residence for elderly Friends.
