Charles B. Lamborn, St. Louis, Mo., to Robert Lamborn, Kennett Square, Pa., Oct. 18, 1886, als, re: loan for Charles to build a house in St. Louis, where he expects to reside. Charles Burleigh Lamborn (1837-1902), son of Robert and Rachel (Pierce) Lamborn, was born a Hicksite Friend in Kennett Square, Chester Co., Pa. He served in the Union army, rising to the rank of Lt. Colonel, but was not disowned by Kennett Monthly Meeting until he married out of unity in 1871. He is buried in Longwood Cemetery at Kennett Square.
