John Bell Papers
Scope and Contents
The John Bell Papers include correspondence, legal documents, a commonplace book of John's father William Bell; a ledger recording subscribers to the Philadelphia "Friend" and the "British Friend" for 1870-1872; and several copies of a printed epistle by William Bell to Whitewater Monthly Meeting of Friends.

Biographical or Historical Information
John Bell (1829-1904) was the son of William and Hannah (Christy) Bell and a native of Belfast, Ireland. He immigrated to the United States with his parents in 1845.
