Biographical or Historical Information
Geraldine Cox was born in Bartholomew County, Indiana, in 1901, the daughter of John M. and Victoria (Parker) Cox. After graduating from Earlham College in 1923, she returned to Bartholomew County, where she married Ira Leatherock. On her death in 1989, her bequest established the Leatherock Chair in Quaker Studies in the Earlham School of Religion.
