Biographical or Historical Information
Ethel (Kirk) Calvert (1860-1941) was an 1885 Earlham College graduate and a member of the Earlham College of Trustees from 1907 to 1912. Born at Eagletown, Indiana, she was a daughter of Dr. Charles and Rachel (Hollingsworth) Kirk, who were Quaker teachers and missionaries in the Indian Territory in the 1880s (FMS 93). She married Reece G. Calvert and spent most of her life in the Green Plain Quaker community near South Charleston, Ohio.
