Luther Daniel Leibold (1877-1957) was a farmer who lived near Williamsburg, Wayne County, Indiana. This small collection consists of an account book, probably done as a school exercise in 1894, and the patent papers for an invention in 1922 with related correspondence. Purchase, 2008.

Lydia Gilbert Pleas Collection
Lydia (Gilbert) Pleas (1812-1839), daughter of Josiah and Dorothy (Nixon) Gilbert and wife of Aaron L. Pleas (1805-1856), was an Orthodox Friend who died in Henry County, Ind. This collection consists of a letter written by her in 1839, along with a poem and reflections on her death compiled for her children by Aaron L. Pleas. Photocopy, gift, 2003.

Lydia Stanton Moore Collection
Lydia (Stanton) Moore (1839- ) was a student at Earlham College in 1862-1863. Born at Springborough, Warren County, Ohio, she was the daughter of Joseph and Catherine Ann (Stanton) Stanton and married Walter Moore in 1869. They lived in Washington and Hamilton counties, Ind. From 1893 to 1905 she was the Earlham postmistress. She died in Los Angeles. The collection consists of her recipe book, ca. 1870. Gift of Helen Carter Sprandling.

Lydia (Thomas) Baldwin (1814-1899), wife of Thomas Baldwin (1813-1899), was an Orthodox Friend who lived near Fairmount in Grant County, Ind. The collection consists of a reminiscence written in 1897, with a transcript. Subjects include early Quaker settlers of Grant County, the Underground Railroad, Anti-Slavery Friends, and pioneer life. Gift of Don and Janet Hoke Garner, 1992.
