Ann Williams Hunt Collection
Ann (Williams) Hunt (1816-1849) was an Orthodox Friend who lived in Highland County, Ohio, and, after her marriage to Dr. Pleasant Hunt (1820-1892) in Randolph County, Ind. The collection consists of their marriage certificate and a commonplace book containing arithmetic exercises, poetry, records of the Hunt and Williams families, and an account of a vision by James Johnson in 1773. Gift of Lenora Bond Amburn, 1967.
Micah and Mary Newby Papers
Micah Newby (1790-1853) and his second wife, Mary Dicks Coffin Newby (1792-1882), were Friends of Blue River Monthly Meeting in Washington County, Ind., and Raysville Meeting in Henry County, Ind. These papers consist of nine letters, 1822-1853, from Mary Newby's father, Bethuel Coffin (1756-1839), and brother Elijah Coffin (1798-1862) in Guilford County, North Carolina, and Wayne and Henry counties in Indiana.
