Stephen Grellet (1773-1855) was an eminent Friends minister, born in France but living most of his life in the Philadelphia area. The collection consists of a transcript of the prayers and sermons at a meeting at Devonshire House Meetinghouse in London in 1814. Origin uncertain.

Joseph John Gurney (1788-1847) was an eminent Quaker minister, banker, and philanthropist of Earlham Hall near Norwich, England. The collection consists of four letters, 1826, 1831, 1844, and 1846 by Gurney, a fragment, and a transcript of letters by Gurney and Nathan Hunt (1758-1853) of Guilford County, North Carolina, concerning Quaker views of the Resurrection.

John Frederick Hanson Collection

John Frederick Hanson (1841-1918) was a native of Norway who emigrated to the US in 1856. He became a Friend in Iowa. Later, he became a well-known minister and revivalist in Iowa and Oregon, where he died. This collection consists of an autobiography and biographical material compiled by family members. Photocopies provided by Arthur O. Roberts. A larger collection of Hanson papers is available on microfilm.

Elias Hicks (1748-1830) was a Quaker minister from Long Island at the center of the separation of 1827-1828. This collection consists of photocopies of materials collected by Gilbert S. Cope (1840-1928), including a copy of the testimony of disownment against Hicks by Westbury and Jericho Monthly Meeting, and a typescript entitled, "An Attempt to Defend the Position of Elias Hicks."

Mordecai Hiatt Fletcher (1849- ) was an Orthodox Friend born in Richmond, Ind. who spent most of his life as a physician in Cincinnati. The collection consists of a letter to him from Webster Parry, 1892, giving an outline of Fletcher genealogy, and a transcript of the marriage certificate, 1747, of Joseph Ratliff and Mary Fletcher of Perquimans County, North Carolina.
