Gamaliel White Autograph Book
Gamaliel White (1846-1920) was an Orthodox Friend who was born near Spiceland, Indiana, and lived in Michigan, Oklahoma, and Kansas. This autograph book dates from his youth in Henry County, Indian, perhaps while he was a student in the Spiceland Academy. Purchase, 2009.
James W. Borden Collection
James Wallace Borden (1810-1883) was a native of Carteret County, North Carolina. In 1834 he relocated to Richmond, Indiana, where he practiced law and was active in Democratic politics. He moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1839, where he lived until his death, save for a term as U.S. minister resident to Hawaii. This collection consists of a history of the Borden family that he wrote in 1863. Purchase, 2009.

Dwight Young (1909-2004) was a Portland, IN businessman, a student at Earlham College 1927-1930, and a long-time member of the Earlham College Board of Trustees. This collection consist of a letter and clipping concerning the 1932 election and correspondence concerning board business, 1956-1961. Gift of Dwight Young, 1994.

William Austin Macy (born 1862) was a resident of Westchester County, New York. This collection consists of material that he gathered on his Quaker ancestry and that of his wife, Marion (Wright) Macy. Included is a lengthy transcription of a Bible record of the Quaker Wright and Dunbar families of New York. Purchase, 2009.

The collection consists of a lengthy memoir of William Parry (1810-1894), a Hicksite businessman and farmer of Richmond, Ind., written by his daughter Mary (Parry) Thorpe; and a scrapbook with clippings and notations concerning the Parry family and other Quakers in the Richmond area.
